mansfield park is so underrated!!

YES! I think there’s so much in it that people just can’t appreciate. And the fact that there hasn’t been a decent cinematic/television adaptation of it probably doesn’t draw anyone to it, unfortunately!

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH, I’LL ANSWER FOR IT TWICE.

Lucy, once again, ruined my life (and made it infinitely better) when she recommended this book to me.

Oh wow, that’s quite dreadful. So… would you recommend these books (in the old covers, naturally)… I’m always on the hunt for new material!!!

That’s why I want to reread them - I LOVED these books when I was younger, but I haven’t read them in almost a decade! So I want to reread them and decide if it’s something I can press onto other people. I own the sequels Trickster’s Choice and Trickster’s Queen so I think I’ll just start by rereading those and then move onto the first series.

I will write the books, you can pick beautiful, perfect covers. Yes?

PERFECT!

(My friend and I always threw around the idea of being a children book writing duo. She would write and I would illustrate, but that was back in the days when I thought I was actually decent at art. I haven’t kept up the practice…)

I’ve seen this book out and about for at least a year now, and it’s always looked interesting to me. I’ve always meant to read it! I keep meaning to pick it up, I just get sidetracked!

When I was in middle school, I was a little taken with the Arthurian legends. One morning, I rented the movie (ugh) and decided to read the book. I enjoyed it, and I like to hear other people’s opinions on the interpretation of the myth and the fleshing out of the female characters, which is why I put it as a must read.

I LOVED this book when I was in the 7th grade! We had to read it for my Language Arts class and I read it multiple times after that.

Is there a simple ‘liked it’ option? I honestly can’t remember much about the book other than I read it in the 2nd grade (maybe??) and like it!

We could start a petition for better book covers.

YESSSS.

Or, I mean, I could stop complaining and get a job where I design them, I suppose…

Or maybe just oversee and veto the crummy ones.
